The 2025 Italian F4 Championship grid is taking shape, and one of the key players to watch will be the Swiss team Maffi Racing. Based in Geneva, the team boasts a long tradition of success and a unique history rooted in Ethiopian motorsport. Founded by Giorgio Maffi, a prominent figure in African rallying, Maffi Racing began its journey in 1969 by competing in the Ethiopian Highland Rally. Since then, the team has built an impressive record, racing and winning across East Africa for decades.

Over time, Maffi Racing has steadily evolved its structure and entered in 2022 the Formula Championship promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion. After solidifying its presence in the championship, the team is ready to tackle the 2025 season with a competitive lineup.

Alongside the confirmed returns of Nathaniel Berreby and Kirill Kutskov, the team has officially announced the addition of Danish driver David Walther.

Berreby competed in the entire 2024 season, proudly representing the team with which he has been racing for two years. Kutskov, on the other hand, was re-signed following his impressive debut at Monza last year, where he left a positive impression from the start by finishing in the points in his first Italian F4 race.

David Walther is the newcomer for 2025. The young Danish talent, who rose to prominence through his karting results, has been on Maffi Racing's radar since 2022. Now, the agreement has been finalized, and Walther will compete in selected rounds of the Italian F4 Championship, the F4 CEZ, and the Formula Winter Series, joining the team on a promising development path.

With a well-rounded and ambitious lineup, Maffi Racing aims to make its mark in the upcoming season, further solidifying its reputation in the world of Formula 4.

David Walther: “I’m now more than ready to step up my career into Formula 4. I’m without doubt someone who never gives up, and I believe my dreams come to reality with my hard work and commitment. A big shoutout to Maffi Racing for making this opportunity come true, and I look forward to working with the team.”
